The formula
Total fee = flat fee + (amount × percentage fee). Effective percentage = total fee ÷ amount. Amount received = amount − total fee.
Worked example
Moving $250 with a $2.50 flat fee and a 0.5% fee costs 2.50 + 1.25 = $3.75, an effective 1.5%, leaving $246.25. The same $3.75 on a $2,500 transfer would be 0.15%, which is why transfer size changes the answer more than the fee schedule does.

Limitations

- Tiered fee schedules that vary with volume need to be entered per tier.

Why does a flat fee matter more on small transfers?
A flat fee is the same number of dollars regardless of size, so it consumes a much larger share of a small transfer. A $2 fee is 0.02% of $10,000 and 20% of $10.
Is the exchange withdrawal fee the same as the network fee?
No. The network fee is paid to the blockchain; a withdrawal fee is set by the platform and often exceeds the underlying network cost. They are separate charges.
